The main focus of ‘Klippies’ was a dark purple plush lino that covered almost the whole space. We raised the entire floor up to allow the addition of LED tape to create a rectangle within the piece that was flush with the final show floor, most of the show floor underneath the lino had been used within a previous show as we wanted to aim to reduce the new materials we would have to buy for this show. There was also a LED channel of out battening that was attached to the walls of the space.

'The Unforgotten Project’ was an interactive installation on the outside of the Young Vic, with the aim to participate and contribute to the ongoing conversations happening within the Black Lives Matter movement.
As part of this, I helped with the installations of the images of Mary Seacole, Marsha P. Johnson and Unlric Cross; as well as the additions of interactive chalkboards and signs along the sides of the building. On some of these, I then painted the chosen wording, which were then attached surrounding the images.

'Me for the World’ was a production made and performed by young people from the Roma and Irish Traveller communities across London.
We created the space by using steel deck which we then covered in a layer of 18mm plywood, with battons to support the edges, to create the feeling that the space was made from tables, all of which were stained. The tables included two spaces where we concealed small trampolines that were revealed within the piece.

The main bases for the 'Nora: A Doll’s House’ was part of the original production in Glasgow’s Citizens Theatre, as part of moving it into the new space my main job was to adjust and remake the three doorways, as well as fixing and adjusting the ceiling pieces to fit into a smaller space and to be safely flown. In addition, I created additional set surrounds, with slightly concealed entrances, that joined the fake wall to the red brick of the auditorium, these were hard clad flats that were then covered in vac-formed bricks.

As part of this production, I assisted in the creation of a painted cobblestone stage. This was created by starting with a light grey base tone which was then splattered with various tones of grey paints. Afterwards, we painted out the rough cobbles covering the stage in various sizes and shaped stones. After this, we then added various washes of different grey tones to create depth over the stage. The final step was glazing the whole floor with a tinted glaze. I was also asked to recreate a ‘God is Love’ sign that had been created for the production. This was recreated using 18mm ply, where I used the original as a template.

During this production, my main project was to create two identical columns which framed an entrance. These were made using multiple former’s to the support a layer of bendy plywood which was wrapped round to make the main structure. These then had lengths of 2x1 attached leaving spaced which were then filled and fluted. The capitals and bases were then added before painting. I also assisted with the painting of the patterned floor as well as painting the concrete ramps.

During this production, my main project was to create the silhouette and the back of the stage. This was created using an intricate CAD plan which we transferred onto sheets of ply and carefully cut out. These then had a wooden frame attached to the back to supply structure. It was placed behind a gauze so that it could be lit from behind creating the silhouette of the town. During this, I also assisted in creating the textured wooden plank floor and the creation of the bed, where I hand carved the design of the shield which was suspended on the headboard.
